Dear Friends! Liebe Freunde/Freundinnen! What a busy life I live! I have hardly recovered from the stressy days during the soccer WC and now it’s time for the Knuthletics European Championship in Barcelona. Well, I’m well prepared…..
Ich bin sehr beschäftigt. Kaum habe ich mich von den stressigen Tagen der Fußball WM erholt, da ist es schon wieder Zeit für die Knuthletics Europameisterschaft in Barcelona. Nun gut, ich bin bereit ……

Was wäre ein sportlicher Event ohne ein süßes Maskottchen!
Of course, I have a new jogging overall but why the heck are these things so difficult to put on? How’s a growing bear supposed to know what is a sleeve and what is a neck…..
Natürlich habe ich einen neuen Jogging Overall, aber warum zum Kuckuck sind die immer so schwierig anzuziehen? Wie kann ein wachsender Bär wissen was ein Ärmel und was ein Halsausschnitt …..
Hehehee….. I’m quite satisfied…. who said I must wear the overall in a tradional way?
Hehehee…. Ich bin ganz zufrieden… wer sagt denn, dass ich den Overall in der traditionellen Art tragen muss?
Marathon is a discipline that demands super condition. To make it even more demanding I’ve suggested there should be a marathon delay! What do you think?
Marathon ist eine Diziplin, die eine Superkondition erfordert. Um sich noch mehr zu fordern, habe ich vorgeschlagen, dass es da eine Verlängerung geben müsste! Was denkt Ihr?
OK, no delay this time….. La Donna, of course, wanted to participate but I prefer to relax and just cheer her. I’m sure she’ll win because nobody wants to take a chance to pass her 
Knowing Giovanna I must admit they are very wise not pushing their luck. I think I saw a glimpse of two familiar runners passing by – I wonder if they were Ludmila and Uwe…..
OK, keine Verlängerung dieses Mal…. La Donna wollte natürlich teilnehmen, aber ich bevorzuge es, auszuruhen und sie anzufeuern. Ich bin sicher, sie wird gewinnen, weil niemand die Gelegenheit wahrnehmen möchte, sie zu überholen Wenn man Giovanna kennt, dann muss ich schon zugeben, dass es nicht sehr klug wäre, sein Glück herauszufordern. Ich glaube, ich habe zwei bekannte Gesichter vorbeieilen gesehen – ob es wohl Ludmila und Uwe ….
There’s no need to exaggerate these sporting activities…..
Es gibt keinen Grund für besondere Anstrengungen bei dieser sportlichen Aktivität…..
… although - if the prize is right……why not?

Oh my, am I exhausted!!! I think I’ll do my sporting from now on like Auntie Mervi – watching telly lying on a couch and sipping a cold Knutsteiner…..
Oh Mann, bin ich kaputt!!! Ich glaube, von jetzt an mache ich meinen Sport wie Tante Mervi – am Fernsehen und auf der Couch liegend und dabei ein kaltes Knutsteiner schlürfen…..
I have never understood why gardening isn’t a sporting discipline. It’s relaxing and makes you feel sooooo good. Why run, jump, throw and get all sweaty when you can take it easy? Oh dear, there’s so much a bear can’t understand.
Ich habe ja nie kapiert, warum Gärtnern keine sportliche Diziplin ist. Es ist entspannend und man fühlt sich dabei sooooo gut. Warum rennen, springen, werfen und dabei schwitzen, wenn es auch mit TAKE IT EASY geht. Oh je, es gibt so viel, was ein Bär nicht versteht.
This is my idea of steeple chase.
Ich verstehe Hindernisrennen so.
I admire all these athletes competing even if they know I’m always the Champion, the King, Numero Uno….. you name it!
Ich bewundere immer alle diese Athleten, obwohl sie wissen, dass ich immer der Champion, der King, die Nummer Eins bin … Ihr sagt es!
I have made it very clear I don’t care for any medails. I prefer a ‘Bollerwagen’ with yammy food so I hope Auntie Gudrun will be giving the prizes!
Ich habe es deutlich gemacht, ich mache mir nichts aus Medaillen. Ich ziehe einen Bollerwagen mit yammy Leckereien vor, deshalb hoffe ich, dass Tante Gudrun einen Preis bekommt.
All this sporting has made me very sleepy so I’ll have a well deserved Nickerchen. Bye bye for now!
Dieser ganze Sport hat mich sehr müde gemacht, also habe ich ein Nockerchen wohl verdient. Tschüß dann!

I am always very astonished that you are such an ambitious sporty lady. One thing is for sure that you have deserved a gold medal with a diamond star for your brilliant contributions and for KWM itself.

You’re right, Gudrun deserves the gold medal for her weekly Bollerwagen Marathon. Her vitamins and proteins are keeping you healthy and irresistable. Have you ever contemplated on that?
I can tell La Donna’ incentive, the salmon, worked wonders. No one in the stadium who could outdo her in the long jump.

Dear Knuti, HIHIHIHI, I also believe that you and Auntie Mervi do fit well together when it comes to do some sport. Laying on the couch in front of the TV is always bringing good results. And based on what Auntie Mervi once told us about her gardening talents, it goes without saying that you have the same green paws.
