The magic forest

A few days before Easter Little Pink Riding Hood was walking through a big, dark forest. She was carrying a basket filled with chocolate eggs to her grandmother who lived in a little village called Knuttingham. Suddenly she heard something. Was it a wolf howling? Oh yes, it was a a white wolf ….LIttle Pink Riding Hood’s heart started beating very fast – she was afraid!
- Help, help! Will somebody help me? Can anybody hear me? she cried.
Just when she felt very frightened and lonely she heard a familiar voice:
- Pinkie, is that you crying? Don’t be afraid. You’re in the Knurwood forest and there are no big bad wolves here – only beautiful, friendly white wolves. Say hello to my pal Woolfie.
Knubin Hood, the cousin of Little Pink Riding Hood, was allowed to call his little relative Pinkie. Knubin and his merry bears are known as friends of all the animals in the forest. They come every day with food and fresh water to their fourlegged friends. ‘Rich people don’t need all those salmons’ is the slogan of the gang.
- This forest is a magic, friendly place where everything’s possible. Just look around and see!
There’s the gingerbread house of the witch and there are Hänsel and Gretel but the witch isn’t a bad person. No, she’s a kind woman who loves to bake croissants! Hänsel and Gretel are very happy because they can do quality controls every day.
Did you hear that? Who’s screaming? Oh, it’s Snow White….
- What’s the matter dear Snow White? You look scared.
- I’ve just visited the zoo in Stuttgart and the lady polar bear Corinna accused me of casting flirty eyes on her husband Anton. She said she would send me a big box of ‘spicy’ apples! I love apples but how do I dare to eat one from now on?
- Calm down, Snow White. Even lady Corinna will be nice in this forest! Just relax and eat as many apples as you like.
- Oh, Knubin, this forest of yours is such a marvellous place.
Look who’s coming here – it’s an Easter bunny.
- Hello friends! I’m actually a good fairy but this time of year I love to disguise myself as an Easter bunny. Oh, you are wondering if I can make a wish come true. OK, Little Pink Riding Hood, what is your wish?
- I’d like to wear a beautiful pink evening gown and dance with the most handsome prince in the world!
The Easter bunny – I mean the good fairy – bowed and said:
- I’m your humble servant and your wish is my law! Simsalabim!
LIttle Pink Riding Hood turned into a beautiful princess Cinderella and a most charming Russian prince Raspili I bowed and asked if he could have the next waltz…..
….. and as far as I know they were all living happily ever after…..

Im Wunderwald – translation by Caren
Ein paar Tage vor Ostern lief das kleine Pinkkäppchen durch einen großen, dunklen Wald. Sie hatte einen Korb dabei, der gefüllt war mit Schokoladeneiern für ihre Großmutter, die in einem kleinen Dorf, das Knutingham genannt wurde, lebte. Plötzlich hörte sie etwas. War es ein heulender Wolf? Oh ja, es war ein weißer Wolf. Pinkkäppchen’s Herz begann wild zu schlagen – sie hatte Angst!
- Hilfe, Hilfe! Ist da niemand, der mir hilft? Hört mich denn keiner?, rief sie.
Gerade als sie sich so sehr fürchtete und sie sich so einsam fühlte, hörte sie eine bekannte Stimme:
- Pinkie, bist du das, die da so schreit? Hab‘ keine Angst. Du bist im Knurwood Wald und da gibt es keine bösen Wölfe – nur sehr schöne und nette, weiße Wölfe. Sag’ Hallo zu meinem Kumpel Woolfie.
Knubin Hood, Pinkkäppchen’s Cousin durfte seine kleine Verwandte Pinkie nennen. Knubin und seine fröhlichen Bären sind als Freunde aller Tiere im Wald bekannt. Sie gehen jeden Tag mit Lebensmitteln und frischem Wasser zu ihren vierbeinigen Freunden in den Wald. ‚Reiche Leute brauchen nicht so viele Lachse‘ ist der Slogan der Gang.
- Dieser Wald ist ein wundersamer und freundlicher Ort, wo alles möglich ist. Sieh‘ dich um und schau nur !
Dort ist das Knusperhäuschen mit der Hexe und da sind Hänsel und Gretel, aber die Hexe ist keine böse Person. Nein, sie ist eine freundliche Frau, die gerne Croissants bäckt! Hänsel und Gretel sind sehr glückllich, denn sie können jeden Tag Qualitäts Kontrollen durchführen..
Hast du das gehört? Wer schreit denn da so? Oh, es ist Schneewittchen …….
- Was ist passiert, Schneewittchen? Du siehst ängstlich aus.
- Ich habe gerade den Zoo in Stuttgart besucht und die Eisbärdame Corinna beschuldigte mich, ihrem Mann Anton schöne Augen gemacht zu haben. Sie sagte, sie würde mir eine große Kiste -gefüllt mit ‚würzigen‘ Äpfeln – schicken! Ich mag Äpfel sehr gerne, aber wie kann ich es von nun an wagen, auch nur einen davon zu essen?
- Beruhige dich, Schneewittchen. Sogar Lady Corinna ist in diesem Wald ganz freundlich! Entspann‘ dich und iss so viele Äpfel wie du möchtest.
- Oh, Knubin, dein Wald ist so ein wundervoller Ort.
Schau mal, wer hier kommt – ein Osterhäschen.
- Hallo Freunde! In Wirklichkeit bin ich eine gute Fee, aber um diese Zeit verkleide ich mich gerne als Osterhäschen. Oh, du fragst dich, ob ich einen Wunsch erfüllen kann?
Okay, kleines Pinkkäppchen, welchen Wunsch hast du?
- Ich würde so gerne ein wunderschönes pinkfarbenes Abendkleid tragen und mit dem schönsten Prinzen auf der Welt tanzen!!
Das Osterhäschen – Ich meine die gute Fee verbeugte sich und sagte:
- Ich bin dein ergebener Diener und Dein Wunsch ist mir Befehl! Simsalabim!
Das kleine Pinkkäppchen verwandelte sich in eine wunderschöne Prinzessin und ein sehr charmanter Russischer Prinz Raspili Iverbeugte sich und bat sie um den nächsten Tanz
….. und wenn sie nicht gestorben sind, dann leben sie noch heute !

The beautiful collages and the text remind me on childhood when I was reading a book like this again and again. You can be sure that this article will be read again and again, too.

so lovely fairy tales for knuti-, Giovanna- and all the FloRaVe-Fans this time!!
As a child I was always rather afraid of “Rotkäppchen’s ” wolve! We directly lived near the edge of a large dark forest, which I loved, but it was also very frightening for me, thinking of the dangerous wolve! Maybe he was to be found in there…??
Now, all the friendly magical bear-persons in your fairy tails comfort the little child from so many years ago and this is worth while thanking collages- and texters of the tales!!
I LOVE REGARDING AND READING them AGAIN AND AGAIN !!!
