Happy Bear Year from Orsa!

Orsa is a real winter wonderland these days. Ewa and Wilbär are, of course, enjoying their lives in the beautiful enclosure which reminds very much of the ‘real’ environment of polar bears. There’s so much they can do with the snow or in the snow!
Thank you, Pernilla, once more for the beautiful photos and the fantastic video! Knuti’s Weekly and all the readers wish you, Ewa and Wilbär – and ,of course, all the wonderful people working in the Bear Park – a Happy New Year.

Dear Pernilla & Staff at Orsa Grönklitt,
Wow, it looks as though Orsa is currently a winter wonderland for the 2 bears that we follow and all the other animals. There is so much camaraderie between the 2 bears, it is always a joy to peak in on them, as staffers probably realize from working with them. They are never far away from each other. It has been a wonderful year for Ewa and Wilbaer, with their bonding cementing, and very likely continuing.

Dear Pernilla and all of your colleagues of Orsa, many thanks for these beautiful pictures and lovely video of the two young bears. Isn’t it amazing to see that even though they both were born in captivity, they both have the same natural instincts of their family living in the wild, namely hopping on the ice to break it. However, in their case there wil be no seal underneath the ice, but neverhteless, they react in a normal manner. And yes, they are living in a dreamy Winter wonderland. I agree with what Velvet wrote in The Knuipe: they won the great lot of the lottery. one may wish the same circumstances for all polar bears kept in zoos wherever on earth.
I wish you and your colleagues a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.
But I have a little question, can somebody give me more details about the music? I like it.

thanks a lot for the lovely Wilbär pictures! They are absolutely phantastic and I am very happy the two bears are getting on so well – and have so much space and caring keepers ! Pity Wilbär’s sister didn’ t make it. There seems to be a male dominance as far as polar bear cubs’ survival is concerned…..

thank you so much for sharing this dream with us. It is just fantastic, a Winter-, Christmas-, New Year’s-Fairy tale. Wilbär and Ewa are in a polar bear paradise and one can see how much they appreciate their surrounding and they are so glad to be cared for by very nice keepers.

….und die beiden Bären lieben sich, soweit man das von Eisbären mit menschlichen Augen betrachtet sehen kann.
Ich freue mich sehr, dass die beiden in Orsa leben dürfen. Mein Traum wäre gewesen für Flocke und Rasputin im großen Frankenwald (nördlich von Nürnberg) ein ähnliches Umfeld zu schaffen. Am Mittelmeer sind die beiden falsch untergebracht.
