Ewa and Wilbär video – version 2

There’s another version of the video of Ewa and Wilbär swimming and playing in their wonderful enclosure. Imagine, next weekend I’ll be watching these two lovelies with my own eyes – live!! I know, I know – I’m a very lucky girl! I hope I can bring you lots of good news, photos and hopefully videos.

Ohhh, Mervi –
Such a lovely video, version II ~ I am simply enthralled by the canoodling of these two young polar bears, who have such refined instincts and senses that they are able to do polar bear plunge after plunge without hurting themselves ploughing into the rocks. It all seems so graceful and without effort, yet there is much to these elegant creatures which allows them to memorize their terrain so that they are able to interact with it optimally.
Also, I’m in l-o-v-e with the background theme song, punctuated by a metronome beat slowed to a most pleasurable tempo.
Pack your jute-sack with care, be sure to reserve EXTRA space for everyone’s air kisses and good wishes for the two bears, other animals, and contacts you encounter on your visit! We look forward to all you will have to share on return! A Grand Visit…

Coat-tailing sentiments of others before me sharing that it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between Ewa and Wilbaer, I am going to go out on a limb. The shots of Wilbaer [I think] shown sniffing the air, as if to try to pick up the scent of his Mum, then realizing that she is not around, also show his reactions to this new bear in his proximity as not ones which provoke his bellicose nature. Hopefully, the peace and serenity of the Orsa bear park and Ewa’s feminine charms prevail to calm his inner turmoil for good. I think it’s quite possible.

the video is smashing, thank you so much. Yesterday I read about Wilbä’s parents. Anton and Corinna are happily together again. I cannot await your report next week from orsa.

Thank yo very much for the new video–simply beautiful. And it is also good to hear that Corinna and Anton are happy also. Corinna was such a good mother. Of course, I personally think this because many of the interactions I saw between Thomas and Knut were the same as between Corinna and Wilbar. And since I feel that Thomas was a great bear mother/father, then Corinna must have been a good mother too!

Is it just me or are there other polar bear aficionados out there who keep re-visiting this VERY well made video of Ewa and Wilbaer at Orsa Gronklitt? Their young lives must be taking off to a rushing start… Is it too soon to ask MERVI if there are any more updates on these favorite two?

Unfortunately I live far away from Orsa and can’t visit Wilbär and Ewa so often. However, I’ve established a good contact with the Bear Park and hope there will be new information, photos and videos soon.
