A Few Exciting Maternity and Nursing Products

Wednesday September 28, 2011

Earth Mama Angel Baby Postpartum Herbal Bath

So after four days of walking ten miles of aisles at the ABC Expo this past weekend, I have so much to share. So here are a few more insights and exciting upcoming products.

First off the bat is a changed products from Earth Mama, Angel Baby, their Postpartum Bath Herbs.  These herbs are meant to soothe sore bottoms (mom's) after giving birth.  What's changed here is the functionality of the packaging for ease of use.  Now they come packaged in individual large sized tea bags.  This makes it so easy to use and no messy clean up.  Be sure to grab a pack of these before your baby comes.

One of the new products that is coming out is from Aden + Anais.  They have a new skin care product line available in 2012.  Part of this line is a pawpaw containing oinment.  It's great for chapped lips, nipples, irritated skin, etc.  A real cure all with the healing properties of the pawpaw.

Baby Be Mine Maternity also has a new maternity/nursing night gown coming out. What is neat about this is that it's got the standard comfort you'd expect from one of their products but it goes back to the classic pleat-hidden, center opening for nursing. The trend in recent years in nursing night wear has been a flexible material that you can pull down. While they do offer that option in another product, this gown will be "retro" in the opening. This is my preferred night time opening for nursing.

Stay tuned for more highlights from the show as I process everything that I saw. Feel free to ask me questions about the show or the products in the forums.

Belly Banter

This weekend I've been hanging out at the All Baby and Child Expo and I've seen some really neat things that I am so excited to tell you about.  Though yesterday I got a chance to meet the great folks at Slick Sugar.  They have a neat little pregnancy item called Belly Banter.  This is a neat gift item or even something to help inspire you with belly photos.

ABC Kids Expo

ABC Kids Expo

This weekend I'll be getting my exercise up and down the aisles of the ABC Kids Expo. After last's night sneak preview of the new products for the media and selected guests, I'm terribly excited to see some of the new and innovative products.  I also have a feeling that while something may not have technically been new this year, it may be new to me.  They boast a million square feet of expo space!  Though I could only catch a few glimpses as people walked in the doors to the larger space.  I did run into Danielle from Best for Babes Foundation on the outside though.

Thursday September 22, 2011

Emily Deschanel

Emily Deschanel, one of the stars of Bones, and her husband, David Hornsby (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), welcomed their first baby Wednesday. Their son is named Henry Hornsby. Hornsy and Deschanel were married in 2010. The baby is being written into the series Bones.

Deschanel told Fit Pregnancy that she was a vegan and had been for awhile. Pregnancy did not change that. She also said that she intended to breastfeed for at least one year and had hired a doula.

The couple announced their pregnancy in the spring.
