anyone new to this , I strongly recommend you join the website and the wonder of these bears.
I am new to the goings on of these bears and only found out a couple of weeks ago because of the BBC programme that Gordon Bucannan did. I was ecstatic to see Hope in the den with Lily and then Lily have her cubs. Thank you to all involved in the study.
The morning chatters on bear.org have unofficially named the climbing cub Sir Edmund (if a boy) Hillary (if a girl) after the famous Mt Everest climber. :)
The whine on the video is the vibration of sound being caught in the tube.

That is so wonderful :) It will be neat to see how Lily's mothering behaviour will differ from before with these two - she will be much more mature and experienced. Seeing Hope act as a big sister will be interresting, she will gain a lot of knowledge and be a great mom when her turn comes. If Lily does not come into heat next year, I wonder if Lily will stay an extra year with her mom.............

I introduced my kindergarteners to Lilly and Hope on Friday. They loved seeing them move around and look out at the camera. A good many of them were going home to watch them some more. I have been watching Liily and Hope since last year and have learned so much about bears from them . Thank you for sharing them with us!
I am praying that Lily doesn't loose these 2 babies in the summer like she did Hope last year. She certainly has her hands full now. I was also worried at how Hope would react to the new babies. It looks like she is being a big help to Lily.
