A First Look at Lily the Black Bear's Newborn Cubs

Ely, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -- As you probably saw yesterday...the Northland's favorite black bear family added two new members...and tonight, we have a first look at Lily's brand new cubs.

This is video that was captured today on the famous den cam in Ely.
You can see Lily turn around...giving the world a glimpse of her two newborn cubs.

Thousands watched last year as Lily gave birth to Hope...now Hope is even standing by her mom's side, licking the new cubs with her mom.

Bear researches say this is a rare sight...because bears can't typically ovulate when they are nursing, and Hope is still nursing...chances are Hope could stick with the family for another year.
