Das war eine schwere Zeit für Knut. Er wurde damals zum ersten Mal von Thomas Dörflein getrennt und schrie herzzerreißend nach seinem Papi.

Lily - Although I'll always picture our beloved Knuti in the small enclosure in the Berlin Zoo he will also be with me all the time - where ever I am.

Patrizia - Even if it feels too painful to visit the zoo it will do you good. Remembering the happy days among dear friends is an important part of our healing process. The sadness will always be in our hearts but little by little it will be easier to bear.

I know how it must be difficult to go at his small enclosure where he is (was) so happy ... with Thomas.
The small enclosure will always be his home, not the big enclosure where he is (was) sad, so sad ...
