eva war es nicht diesmal Herr Uhlich, der den Termin 2008 ins Spiel brachte? Oder hat Herr Klös auch mal wieder was Ungenaues vom Stapel gelassen?

Bin zurück aus Berlin, Ich kann nur sagen Knut hat auch mich verzaubert. Es waren trotz Regen 3 wunderschöne Zootage, habe sogar Knuts Ziehpapa kennengelernt.
War unvergesslich und unbeschreiblich schön.
Aus ganz persönlichen Gründen werde ich mich nicht mehr melden, trotzdem die Berichte gerne weiterverfolgen.
Vielen Dank an alle die Fotos und Berichte für alle zugänglich weitergeben. DANKE!!

Hallo, Gigabodensee!
Obwohl wir uns nicht kennen, habe ich in den vergangenen Tagen manchmal an Dich gedacht, weil Du Dich doch so auf Berlin und natürlich auf Knut gefreut hast. Nun sieht es doch so aus, als ob sich alle Deine Wünsche erfüllt haben. 
Schade dass Du nicht mehr schreibst. Trotzdem alles Gute für die Zukunft und viel Freude an Knut!

Dieses Riesenrad ist vielen Berlinern ein Dorn im Auge. Zumindestens an diesem Standort und es wird schlimm. Man mag noch nicht daran denken, wenn dieses Stahlgerippe tatsächlich in Betrieb geht.
Wieviele Vögel an dem beleuchteten Rad ums Leben kommen werden...die verdammten, sich drehenden Windkrafträder liefern jetzt schon die besten Beispiele. Und die Windräder sind nur halb so hoch.
Stoppen lässt sich die Fehlentscheidung, das Riesenrad zu bauen, nicht mehr, leider !

Diese Petition habe ich schon unterzeichnet, das nebenbei bemerkt. Ich schließe mich an und bitte alle, die es noch nicht getan haben, die Petition zu unterschreiben.
Warum sich das Riesenrad nicht mehr stoppen lässt? Ich vermute, die Vobereitungen sind schon so gut wie abgeschlossen, der Senat hat zugestimmt. Aber die Hoffnung stirbt zuletzt...

lieber Hartmuth,
ähnliche Befürchtungen habe ich auch. Aber Frau Hämmerling ist für Verkehr zuständig. Ohne Sie geht es auch nicht. Wenn die Grünen komplett den Bauantrag ablehnen, ich hoffe, andere Parteien überdenken dies auch noch mal, dann geht es nicht.

eva has friends from London staying, Daria an Marc. They say everybody in London hates the giant wheel there.
Daria wrote a wonderful piece for the petition:
We are visting Germany and would like to tell you, please, stop the building of the giant wheel - it is going to be a martyrdom for the animals and birds who have to live in the zoo. People will not enjoy the wheel when birds will die in it - when dead birds will be raining onto people. Time has come, now, when people realize that they have to live with - and not against - nature. Humanity does not want the technic to grow more and more. They want to enjoy the happiness which nature provides, they want to be friends with animals. This technical monster will bring much unhappiness. Acting this way is totally out of date. Knut has become a friend of all of us. He brings happiness to all of us. Mind you - if you are going to build this giant wheel - in a place, where a polar bear named Knut became a friend of all people on earth - you will be remembered troughout history as idiots. All people who are his friends will experience unbelievable happiness.

You are so right about building a monster just outside Knut's home. The land should be kept for the animals especially it is a polar bear that brought all the monies and fame to Zoo Berlin and Berlin. I will not have visited Berlin if not for Knut.
