  • This is such a beautiful depiction of precious Knut! The polar bear cub on the left resembles Flocke judging from the shape of the eyes. It is such a lovely rendering. She is so active and he is so passive, that the compatibility issue is a possibility, although she could be just what he needs to pull him out of his lethargy. He seems to have been depressed since the Director prohibited snuggle time with his beloved Mr. Doerflein, and he is probably suffering from a broken heart still as I have read that bears are highly emotionally complex and form exceptionally close bonds with their human caregivers. Bart the Kodiak Bear and Buffy the Black Bear, bottle raised here in the US are excellent examples.
